Luna Innovations has been selected to provide a heat detection monitoring system for 11 South African mines. The system, which utilizes Luna's LIOS DE.TECT linear heat detection technology, will monitor up to 40 kilometers of conveyor belt and provide fast and accurate information about overheating before a fire develops. This system is designed to detect issues with belt rollers that can lead to overheating, allowing for proactive maintenance and avoiding potential hazards.

Savan Group, LLC, a data and information management-focused firm based in Vienna, Virginia, has been awarded a 2-year, $3 million call order from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
