Notes

Capture insights, track outreach status, and maintain context across all your opportunities with private, auto-saved notes.

What are Notes?

As a registered Fundz user, you have the ability to create and manage private notes on any entry in the platform. Notes help you maintain context, track your engagement history, record key insights, and organize your workflow across fundings, executives, acquisitions, crowdfundings, and product launches.

Your Notes Are Private & Secure

All notes are associated exclusively with your account. Only you can view, edit, or access your notes — they're never shared with other users or visible to anyone else.

Why Use Notes?

Track Outreach & Follow-ups

Record when you reached out, what you discussed, and when to follow up. Never lose track of where you are in the sales process with each prospect.

Qualify & Prioritize Leads

Note deal stage, qualification status, budget information, decision-maker details, and priority level for each opportunity.

Maintain Historical Context

Build a timeline of interactions and insights over time. When you return to an opportunity weeks or months later, your notes provide instant context.

How to Add Notes

Adding notes to any entry is simple and intuitive. The notes field is located in the right column of every entry detail page, making it easy to capture insights while reviewing opportunities.

To add a note to an entry:

  1. Navigate to any Funding, Executive, Acquisition, Crowdfunding, or Product detail page.
  2. Locate the Notes field in the right column of the page.
  3. Click into the note field and start typing your observations, context, or next steps.
  4. Your note is automatically saved as you type — no need to click a save button.

Automatic Saving

Your notes are automatically saved as you type, so you never have to worry about losing your work. Simply start typing in the note field and your information is securely stored to your account in real-time. No manual save button required.

Common Note Use Cases:

What to track in your notes:

  • Outreach Status: "Emailed on 1/15, waiting for response" or "Called 2x, left voicemail"
  • Conversation Details: Key points from calls or meetings, pain points discussed, budget signals
  • Deal Stage: "Discovery call scheduled", "Proposal sent", "Verbal commitment received"
  • Qualification Info: Budget range, decision timeline, key stakeholders, competitive situation
  • Next Steps: "Follow up in 2 weeks", "Send case study", "Intro to product team"
  • Context & Research: Company background, competitive intel, relevant news or events
  • Personal Details: Contact preferences, relationship notes, referral sources

Pro Tips for Effective Notes

  • Date Your Updates: Start each new note entry with the date for easy timeline tracking
  • Be Specific: "Spoke with Sarah (CFO) - interested in Q2 budget" beats "Had a call"
  • Record Next Steps: Always end with what needs to happen next and when
  • Use Consistent Format: Develop a personal system (e.g., [Date] - [Status] - [Details] - [Next])
  • Update Regularly: Add notes immediately after each interaction while details are fresh
