Softbank Vision Fund 2 is investing $150 million in Naver Z Corp., the operator of South Korea’s metaverse platform Zepeto, per a Wall Street Journal report.

Earlier, the Japanese investment firm had led a $93 million investment round in The Sandbox, a Hong Kong-based online game platform centered around blockchain technology. The SoftBank Vision Fund 2 investment values Zepeto at more than $1 billion. Launched in 2018, Zepeto is a technology startup focused on self-service data analytics and visualisation.
