Mumbai: Razorpay said it has raised $160 million from Sequoia India and Singapore-based GIC in a funding round that has trebled the valuation of the payment gateway startup to $3 billion in less than six months.

The Indian startup, which became a unicorn a year ago, said it has witnessed a 40-45% month-on-month growth in recent months. Razorpay said on Monday it has received a “strategic investment” from the the venture arm of the American enterprise giant.
