Portal Space Systems is a Seattle-based space start-up solving the need for mobility in space. Our flagship product, the Supernova satellite bus, is engineered for rapid and long-range in-space maneuverability. Our payload-agnostic, 500 kg spacecraft features a novel solar-thermal propulsion system, which enables a remarkable six km/s delta-v, a 50X improvement over existing products on the market. The company was founded in 2021 by industry leader Jeff Thornburg, alongside COO Ian Vorbach and VP of Engineering Prashaanth Ravindran.
