Battery materials startup GDI has secured an additional $11.5 million in Series A funding to scale production of silicon anodes for electric vehicles. The funding was led by Helios Climate Ventures, Impact NY, and InnoEnergy, bringing the total Series A raised to over $20 million. GDI aims to improve energy density and charge times for EV batteries. CEO Rob Anstey stated that the funds will help expand production at their pilot plant in the Netherlands in the next 24 months.
