Eastern Michigan University has received a transformational $1 million gift from Jack E. Roush, EMU alumnus and chairman of the board of Roush Enterprises, and founder, CEO, and co-owner of NASCAR racing team, Roush Fenway Racing.

Founded in 1849, Eastern is the second oldest public university in Michigan. It currently serves more than 16,000 students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, specialist, doctoral and certificate degrees in the arts, sciences and professions.
