Bengaluru: CredR, an omnichannel marketplace for used two-wheelers, has raised $6.5 million (Rs 48.1 crore) in a funding round led by Yamaha Motors, and existing investors Omidyar Network India and Eight Roads Ventures. Astarc Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, also participated.

The company will use the fresh funds to consolidate its market position, strengthen its tech platform and expand customer offerings, according to a statement on Wednesday. “Due to the economic situation created by the pandemic, consumers looking for vehicles are increasingly inclined to purchase personal two-wheelers,” the company said. CredR claims to have helped over 300,000 Indians own a used two-wheeler of their choice since its launch. Founded in 2015, CredR is an online marketplace for two-wheelers that has a chain of showrooms in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi NCR and Rajasthan.
