The investment firm jointly invested $20.5 million in TopCo with Kiwoom Securities in September 2021. Copin Communications, a digital content developer with specialties in character design, emoji, and animation productions, besides webtoon, will use the fresh capital to improve its product base and expand operations in Europe, Japan, South America, and Southeast Asia.“The market for digital content is entering a new and different chapter due to the development of innovative technologies as with VR, AR and metaverse. Copin Communications will be committed to providing services in tune with the current trends to meet the changing consumer demands and expanding the arsenal of digital content production,” Young Hak You, Copin Communications CEO, said in a statement.
