CharacTour is a character-focused discovery platform for movies, TV shows, books, and video games that attracted 10 million users in January 2022. Via an interactive quiz focused on 46 traits and our matching algorithm that received U.S. Patent No. 10,419,820, we make entertainment recommendations based on users' personalities and characterpreferences. Other engines often recommend Game of Thrones fans more violent fantasy shows. But our proprietary data from 6 million registered users shows character affinities transcend genre. Fans of the determined Daenerys Targaryen also appreciate the resolute Carrie Mathison from Homeland, whereas fans of Tyrion Lannister’s snarky personality prefer the irreverent Erlich Bachman from Silicon Valley.
