Blitz, a startup offering same-day delivery services for omnichannel sellers, on Wednesday said it had raised $3 million in a seed round from India Quotient, Better Capital, First Cheque and Titan Capital.The firm, earlier known as Grow Simplee, said it would use the funds to expand its network of dark stores and improve its technology infrastructure. A number of angel investors also participated in the round, including Farid Ahsan, Abhinav Jain, Rahul Dash and Kunal Shah, among others“We believe in challenging the status quo of the ecommerce industry...we enable enterprises and medium-size brands with the ability to orchestrate faster deliveries at efficient costs - providing their management and logistics team with visibility and higher controls,” said co-founder and chief executive Mayank Varshney. Blitz claims to offer same-day delivery for orders placed before 3 pm, with a focus on omnichannel brands.
