BCD Bioscience, a biotechnology company creating precision prebiotics from natural fibers, today announced that it has completed an oversubscribed Series A financing round of $12 million led by Acre Venture Partners. Existing investors, Seventure Partners and iSelect Fund, upped their commitments for the round and new investors, Collaborative Fund and Skyviews Life Science, have joined.

BCD Bioscience was founded in 2019 as a spin-out from UC Davis, to exploit the functional and health benefits of oligosaccharides obtained from natural sources, including food waste material.
