AB InBev Founding Families (de Spoelberch, de Mévius, Vandamme)

The AB InBev Founding Families (de Spoelberch, de Mévius, Vandamme) are Belgian families that merged their family-owned breweries in 1987 to form Interbrew, the forerunner of today's largest brewer, InBev. The families still hold large stakes in the listed company, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and their net worth is estimated at between 40 and 50 billion euros. They are the richest family in Belgium and one of the richest in the world. The families also invest through the investment companies Cogepa and Verlinvest.
