Description

The Metropolitan Museum of Art appoints Lucian Simmons, former Vice Chairman and Worldwide Head of the Restitution Department at Sotheby’s, as the Head of Provenance Research, a newly created position within the Director’s Office in charge of coordinating research efforts across the Museum. Simmons will lead coordination of a team of researchers working across many of the Museum’s 19 collecting areas.
