Philip Rizcallah, P.Eng., has been appointed as the next CEO of Engineers Canada, effective from August 6. He will succeed Gerard McDonald, P.Eng., who plans to retire after six years of service to the Ottawa-based organization of engineering regulators.

Engineers Canada is the national organization of the 12 provincial and territorial associations that regulate the practice of engineering in Canada and license the country's 300,000 members of the engineering profession.
