SolarCycle has announced a partnership with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to open a 5 GW solar module recycling facility in Cedartown, Georgia. The facility is expected to recycle an estimated 10 million solar panels per year, with potential to process 25% to 30% of U.S. retired solar panels by 2030. SolarCycle's next-generation recycling process has the capacity to recover up to 99% of PV materials and will support the American solar supply chain.
