Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos, LLC (N3B) has received a two-year extension from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its contract to perform legacy cleanup activities at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). DOE has exercised the second, and final, option period in N3B’s contract, which will retain N3B as the legacy cleanup contractor at LANL through April of 2028.
