The Vande Bharat sleeper trains project valued at Rs 55,000 crore will proceed with the original plan of three toilets per coach and no pantry car, following a design debate settlement by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Kinet Railway Solutions, the company awarded the contract to manufacture 1,920 sleeper coaches (80 trainsets), raised concerns about a proposed design change involving four toilets per coach and the inclusion of pantry cars.
