Barton Blakeley, a Harpenden-based carbon utilisation company, has secured £2.4m in funding with Elbow Beach Capital to further develop its chemical process designed to convert CO2 emissions into clean energy and synthetic silica. The funding will enable the company to deploy its first commercial system at an industrial site and initiate its first commercial partnerships, with the support of industry veteran Volker Beckers, CBE, as the new chair.
