Warner Music Group Corp. has announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Tempo Music Investments from Providence Equity Partners, cementing a long-standing history and aligned interests in uplifting great music and catalogs. This strategic deal expands Warner Music Group's reach, bringing in rights from songwriters they currently don't represent, as well as additional rights from existing partners, while providing additional revenue at a high margin. Providence will remain a minority investor in Tempo and continue to work with Warner Music Group in an advisory capacity.
